TeenPact is a non-profit organization
which teaches teens about our state and national government. TeenPact
is attended predominantly by homeschoolers, and explains not only how
government works, but the principles behind it and why Christians should
be involved.
It is an awesome experience
and I would highly recommend it to you if you're in or around highschool
age. Visit Teenpact's web
site -- it has schedules for TeenPact events and more info on the
organization itself.
I most recently attended TeenPact
in February 2002 in Atlanta, GA. And I have
pictures to prove it! But
of course we don't have fun at TeenPact... no no no... we have JOY! And
lots of it.
From prayer walks
to holding mock legislative sessions in the Senate chamber
to staying up really late making campaign posters, TeenPact is an experience
that will leave you feeling tired, but happ... er joyful. And educated!
Really really!
I have a wild hope to go to
the TeenPact Alumni event in Washington D.C., but
since I'm graduating in three months I have no idea if
school, or more importantly Mom, will allow me to go. Anybody
going, please take pictures! I'd love to see them! Speaking
of which, here are mine from TeenPact
